About

With more than thirty years in education, my experience includes the design and delivery of a comprehensive K-5 school counseling program from its inception, including a social-emotional learning (SEL) curriculum; individual and group counseling; and collaborative partnerships with other educators, therapists, and parents/guardians to advocate for and support children's social-emotional development, well-being, mental health, and academic achievement. My background also includes the founding of an elementary peer mediation program, which has served as a model for other schools. After spending much of my career with the School District of Haverford Township, I am currently the Lower School Director of Student Support at The Shipley School in Bryn Mawr, PA.
As a speaker to both parents and educators at public and independent schools in the Philadelphia region, my expertise includes children's friendships, childhood anxiety, ADHD, and executive functioning skills.
I earned my bachelor's degree in psychology from William Smith College and my master's degree in education from the University of Pennsylvania. I am a Certified Trauma Practitioner through The National Institute for Trauma and Loss In Children.
